BTW, according to the preview, 1st video is 85 MB for only 14 seconds.
Looks worth reencoding. Could reduce it to few MBs w/o noticeable quality loss.

I see it completely differently if i would see such preview, i would think 'Finally, a CP video with some decent/original quality'.

I do not now if my video version is the original, rarely the original encoding date is known for CP videos, but i would never recode just to save some MB.

It can fit 300.000 videos of 85MB on a modern HD. Waste of time to reduce the size.
And tiny noticeable quality loss is still quality loss.

But of course i know that a lot of people can not afford hard disk or $75 a month to get fast Starlink internet. As long not everybody have free fast internet and decent hard disk, reduced quality recodes will overwhelm available CP videos and pics reduced in quality.

This video is 85 MB. If you recode it to 15 MB, if OCOA comes along sees 'Woah 15MB for only 15 seconds! Let me shave that to 10MB.'. Then the final video could have been recoded 3 times! Sure that is not good for the quality. OCOA And some others are known to recode very many videos.

Don't take me wrong, I am not complaining and I highly appreciate your effort.
My comment was just a hint to give people some idea about reasonable file size/quality ratio.
I also don't like reencodes, but such ratio is really overkill, even for professionaly produced videos, so according to my experience, something like
ffmpeg -i InputFile OutputFile.mp4
is worth trying.

I humbly disagree, not worth the time. It reduces quality and you save maximum about 0.000002 part on a 26 TB drive.
Imagine reducing quality of 1000 of such files, and how much time and effort that would cost. Saving only 0.002 part on the drive.
Not gonna happen, but i would like that people kept their recodes only for themselfes and their small HD. Now, sometimes i find 5 or more recodes of the exact same scene. The older video is, the more recodes are spread. I might have seen 25 different recodes of the exact same BabyJ scene, a number of them are recodes of recodes or recodes of recodes of recodes (and so on). What a utter mess, and in the end, it only takes way MORE space!, until you take the time to weed out the recodes / lesser quality versions. You also have to view each video fully when weeding, because sometimes there are glitches / errors in one version, but not in the other. And all that takes a LOT of time. Time way better spend to find or share (new) material. In the end, in general, it causes less different material to be available. Because time spend on weeding, (and downloading/basic managing the less than useless recodes in the first place,) can not be used to find/download (and share again) new material.
Recoders are a pest for CP community.
